What information helps us quote a complete server?
Tell us the applications or virtualisation platform, expected users or virtual machines, memory needs, usable storage and resilience requirements, network speeds and intended operating system. Include the required CPU and drive quantities if already specified. Ask for an itemised configuration covering controllers, drives, memory, adapters, power supplies, rails, management licences and support where required.
Will any HPE drive or memory module fit my server?
No. Give us the exact installed server model and generation, chassis and drive-bay configuration, and the component part number. Compatibility needs checking against the manufacturer documentation for that configuration; matching capacity alone is insufficient.
Can I request a discontinued replacement or a backorder quote?
Yes. Include the old part number, the function you need to retain and your required date. We will need to confirm a suitable alternative and its current availability. A replacement is not automatically interchangeable, and a catalogue listing does not reserve supplier stock.
